

David Adolph Fleming Jr., a beloved man of high character, hard-working, generous, and selfless individual, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 26, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, David was a resident of Eads, Tennessee.
David was predeceased by his parents, David Adolph Fleming and Annie Theo Fleming , and brother Bill Fleming. After graduating from high school, he served in the Marine Reserves and became a pipefitter. He later transitioned to mechanical engineering and started Mechanical Automated Control Systems. David sold his business in 2025 and retired.
He was married for 66 years to his one true love, Rose Marie Fleming. Together, they raised three children, David A. Fleming III, who is married to Janet, one daughter, Rhonda J. Cloyd, and Thomas G. Fleming who preceded David in death. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Gibson and her husband Gordon.
David had a passion of flying as a private pilot. He enjoyed listening to all types of music and loved to scuba dive. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly on the golf course. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Lakeland Hall, located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, on January 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location on January 9, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
