

David Leo ”Dave” Masterson, returned to the loving arms of the Lord, Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Dave was born to Leo F. and Bernice Masterson in Bellevue (Pittsburgh), PA. He leaves his loving wife, Sharon (Kraus) Masterson of 41 years and three loving children: Rena Lynn Masterson Fay (Chris), Chris Masterson (Jennifer) of St. Louis, MO and John Paul Masterson; eight grand-children, brothers-in-law, Robert Kraus, Gordon Kraus (Susie), a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves his father, Leo Masterson of Rochester, PA; sister, Cathy Masterson of Pittsburgh, PA; cousin, Holly Brubach of Pittsburgh, PA. Dave was a graduate of the Memphis State University (University of Memphis) receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance. He received a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management. He was formerly an Executive Vice President with First Tennessee Bank, COO of Boston Oncology Group, IT Network Manager for St. Benedict at Auburndale High School and CIO with the Catholic Diocese of Memphis. Dave was currently an adjunct professor of Information Technology Management with the University of Arkansas, Webster University, and the University of Memphis. He previously taught courses with Vatterot Career College. Dave was a member of the Memphis Camera Club and Artists Link, and he was a business consultant with Memphis area artists. Dave was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and active in various church and school soccer programs. Visitation at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4:30-7 p.m., on Friday, November 8, with recitation of the Most Holy Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.. He will be commissioned to the Lord at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 9, with interment to follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38113. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Benedict at Auburndale High School, 8250 Varnavas Drive, Cordova, TN 38016 and to Haiti Medical Missions of Memphis, Attn: Gordon Kraus, MD, Haiti Medical Missions of Memphis, 1779 Kirby Parkway, Box 319.
