The eldest of two, born to Decarlious and Pimberly Smith on May 4, 1989, leaves behind a sister, Shelby Smith, a loving grandmother, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a wife, Amanda Smith, alongside three step-children—Erykah Taylor, Stephen Taylor, and Elijah Taylor.
As a former hockey player, a talented artist, animal-lover, and car enthusiast, Emerson was a natural explorer, discovering new passions and developing new skills no matter where life led him, like teaching himself to speak Spanish. He walked to the beat of his own drum, challenging stereotypical norms and establishing his own lane across different cultures and communities.
He had a kind smile, comedic timing, and always advocated for the underdog. His caring nature will be missed by all who were lucky enough to be loved by him.
A gathering will be held on Friday, February 21, at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens from 1PM-5PM. In lieu of flowers, a gofundme has been created to support the family through their healing journey."
