Dixie Guest, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 15, 2023.
Dixie was born December 30, 1934, in Tracy City, TN to Pearl Hollingsworth Guest and Dixie Guest, Sr. He was a graduate of Central High School in Nashville, TN and attended Vanderbilt University before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He worked for financial companies before becoming an air traffic controller based out of Memphis, TN, and worked for the FAA Credit Union until retirement.
Dixie was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church where he was an usher and in the mens Nehemiah group. He had many friends there and loved serving the Lord and being with his church family. He was a man of deep faith, totally devoted to his family and was known as someone with a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife Sara Guest, children Cindy Warf (Dale), Keith Guest (Melissa Griffin), Sophia Becker (Jacob), and Robert Sanders, his grandchildren Christy Ford, Matt Warf (Angie), Tracy Warf and Justin Warf (Brittney), and brother Bill Guest (Colleen). In addition, Mr. Guest is survived by great grandchildren, Peeta Ford, Kaden England, Abigail Warf and Avaleigh Warf and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Guest was preceded in death by his first wife Betty June Guest, parents Pearl Guest and Dixie Guest, Sr, sister Betty Ruth Johnson (Lee), grandson Jeffrey Ford, and niece Jennifer Crawford.

Donations can be made to The Nehemiah Fund at Christ the King Lutheran Church, an organization that he was passionate about and dedicated so much of his time.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 21 from 1:00-2:00pm at Memphis Funeral Home on Germantown Parkway. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm, Pastor Mark Goble will officiate.
