

Donna Kay Pavatte, 82, of Millington, went home to be with Jesus on May 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her life. She was born on August 28, 1943, the daughter of William Donald Turman and Kathryn Barmer Mason.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Ray Pavatte, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage, and by her brother, Robert Earl Turman. She is survived by her brother, William Donald Turman Jr.s
She leaves behind two devoted sons, William Allen Pavatte (Karen) and James Anthony Pavatte (Terri). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Christy Leigh Pellegrin (Beau), William Mason Pavatte (Erin), James Payton Pavatte, Kimberly Tucker Huffman (Tyler), Reece Allen Pavatte (Shelby), and Jacob Ross Pavatte.
Donna was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Keegan Pellegrin, Gavin Pellegrin, Ryker Pellegrin, Zara Pavatte, Harper Pavatte, Cannon Pavatte, Lawrence Pavatte, Katherine Pavatte, Zoe Smith, Eli Huffman, and Rylee Kate Huffman.
A graduate of Humes High School in Memphis, Donna dedicated many years of service to the citizens of Shelby County through her work with Shelby County Government, where she retired as Assistant Director of Community Service. Her compassionate spirit and servant’s heart touched countless lives throughout her career.
Donna was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church, where she loved serving the Lord and fellowshipping with her church family. Her unwavering faith, kindness, strength, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Though her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
