Dorothy N Dorris, age 88, of Red Banks, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born in Ethel, Mississippi, on September 22, 1936. As a young child, she moved to Kosciusko, Mississippi where she had many fond memories.
She was a member of Carey Chapel Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant, Mississippi where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School until her health would no longer allow her to teach. She enjoyed gardening and being outside. She collected cookbooks and even made her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Bruce Dorris; one sister, Margaret Gober; and three brothers, Billy Wayne Norris, Charles Kenneth Norris, and Jerry Norris.
She is survived by her two sisters, Doralyn Carmichael and Sandra Padget; one brother, Ralph Norris; and 5 children; Richard E. Williams (Tahera), Lisa A. Cook, Charles R. Williams, Kevin A. Williams (Elizabeth), and Brian K. "Catfish" Williams ; three granddaughters, Tiffany, Nicole, and Kayla; one grandson, Mohammed; and four great grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Gideons Bible Association.
