Dorothy L. Eason, 86, of Horn Lake, MS passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 in Guttenberg, Iowa. She was born March 22, 1930 in Memphis to the late, George Dewey and Gertrude Gilette Estes. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a member of Church Road Baptist Church in Horn Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie M. Eason; sister, Gene Bledsoe; and is survived by her son, Michael D. Eason of Horn Lake; daughters, Patricia Farr (Marv) of Cedar Falls, IA, Tesa L. Kirk of Etta, MS, Rethia J. Harris of Horn Lake, MS, Pennie Smallwood (Derek) of Hernando, MS and Jennifer Scallions (Danny) of Coldwater, MS; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to St. Croix Hospice, 101 Elkader St., Strawberry Point, IA 52076.
