She is survived by her husband Pete A. Caccamisi, two nephews: Tim Sullivan and James Anderson III and a sister-in-law Janie Bowling.
Jan will be remembered as a loving, kind, intelligent, and witty woman who lived life on her own terms and left a lasting impression on those fortunate to know her.
Jan was a woman who knew exactly who she was. She was confident, strong, smart and truly a TOTAL WOMAN in every sense of the word. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor, a kind heart, and a personality all her own. She didn’t need to be anyone other than herself, and that was part of what made her so special.
For Jan and her husband, Pete, life together was an adventure. Every day brought something to experience, something to discover and most importantly, something to laugh about. Jan always said that a sense of humor was a sign of intelligence. They shared a life filled with laughter, love and countless memories that Pete will forever hold close to his heart. Their journey together was not about having a perfect life, but about making the most of the life they had and finding joy in it along the way. Her last spoken words were: “I love you Pete.”
Jan has worked practically all of her life from a “paste up artists” for her father to office manager for a CPA firm where she met Pete. Her intelligence, competence, and organizational abilities contributed significantly to the success of the firm. She carried that same capable and independent spirit into her everyday life.
Jan will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her spirit, laughter and the woman she was will never be forgotten.
