Edward Julian Holland Jr.,, or Joe as I knew him,, was a great guy. He threw a Birthday party for me in the mid 90's and bought me a Chicago Cubs tee shirt. Although it's pretty worn out, I still have that shirt, and think of him everytime I put it on. He supported Memphis music and in particular he always supported me in every band I sang with. . He had a way if giving people faith in themselves. He radiated joy and fun everywhere he went. He was always a great mentor and friend to younger people. I remember when he coached ball in the Giasmond park neighborhood. He coached my husband, brothers, and many old friends when they were kids. Joe will be missed by SO many folks that really loved him. A sweet soul was he. He made the world a better place by just being in it.

I worked with Joe for several years on the Board at Highland Condos. He was like a brother to me. My heart breaks for his family. Know he is happy now with the love of his life.
