Elijah loved fishing, soccer, video games and outdoor activities. He was to graduate from Memphis Rise Academy this May. He was a music lover and enjoyed dancing, he always lit up a room when he walked in.
Left to cherish the memories of his life is his mother Nelly Waceke Ruguaru and father Chad Whitley, Grandparents Late Latimer Ruguaru, Virginia Ruguaru, Sherry Whitley, Lottie Campbell.
Uncles Robert Ruguaru, Trey Campbell. Aunties Anne Ruguaru, Phyllis Ruguaru and Kimberly Ruguaru. Cousins, Bilal Ruguaru, Trevor Ruguaru, Jordan Ruguaru, Kacey Ruguaru and Ryan Ruguaru.

A gathering of family and friends for Elijah will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. The gathering will continue Saturday May 7, 2022 at 9:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life service at 10:00 AM, Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133. Interment will follow at Memphis Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
