Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Gray Blair, 48, of Bartlett, Tennessee was born on August 28, 1975, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was 3 weeks early, probably the last time she was early (or even on time!) She went to Heaven on August 6, 2024.
Libby attended Evangelical Christian School from first grade until she graduated in 1993 and is a graduate of the University of Memphis. She was a member of Christ Church, Bartlett, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by loving grandparents; her big brother, Collin Gray; her cousins, Amy Glass and Ana Glass; and her “sister”-friend, Christina Simonton.
She is survived by her very much-loved son, Adam Blair; her parents, Bobby and Betty Gray; her sister Rhonda (Rooster) Simmons; nephew Daniel Simmons; and nieces Kasey Simmons, Laina Gray, and Leanna Gray.
She loved her Lord, her family and her treasured friends. She enjoyed life, including a year in China teaching English as a second language. (We gained another family member when one of her students, Ting Chen (AKA “Tim”) became a part of our lives.)
Libby was a survivor and has fought so hard during health issues that started in 2017 and continued for almost 7 years until Jesus came for her.
Libby never met a stranger and anyone who knew her would attest to the fact that she could TALK!!! In her final days she visited with so many friends and family members – and she talked and talked and talked. She had so much to say before she left us.
She was loved and our world will never be the same.
