Elizabeth Ann Peeler

Elizabeth Ann Peeler (Betsy) 69 was born May 10, 1957 in Memphis,TN to Jack and Norah Evelyn Peeler. She went home to be with the Lord May 19, 2026. She was at her home on Chambers Chapel Rd, or “the hill” where she grew up. Betsy was surrounded by many friends and family for her birthday and celebration of life. She was a cherished daughter, sister and mother. She is survived by two sons, Danijel and JeanPaul Kustura, brother Philip Peeler(Sandra), two sisters, Jacquelyn Seward(Ron), Gwendolyn Carpenter(Stan), along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Timothy.

She returned to the “home place” 15 years ago to enjoy a simple life style although she had several physical and health challenges.

Betsy was a talented artist, drawing and painting. Many of her early art works were drawn on the kitchen table and were regrettably washed off after meals.

After graduating from Nicholas Blackwell high school, she embarked upon a career in art and teaching. She graduated from Brooks Art School in Memphis. She designed several commercial art related drawings, publications and festival events. Later in life she moved to Tulsa to attend and graduate from Oral Roberts University with a Masters degree in Education. She taught high school art in both private and public schools in Tulsa County until she had to retire because of her physical limitations.

Betsy had many “care givers” through these last years. She required extra care, which was a challenge, but always remained steadfast with a sweet spirit. She always enjoyed sharing her Christian faith with everyone she came in contact with. She touched many lives and will be missed dearly.

Celebration of life visitation starts at 1 pm, June 5th with a service at 2 pm at Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN. The service will be officiated by Rev. Robert K. Jamerson, New Life in Christ Church. All are welcome to attend the reception at the funeral home, following burial there on the grounds.
