We are heartbroken to hear of your loss. Ellen was a remarkable person. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother to all of her family. Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of many. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. We hope you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared and the love that surrounds you.

My dear sister.  I will miss you so much.  I love you. I thank you for all your guidance and inspirations throughout my life.  We had some times together to be sure especially sharing that bedroom on the back right of 400 Hillsboro from say age 10 to 18 and before that at Gail Place.  The stuff we went through growing up together.

You went on to work for the federal government following in the footsteps of both our mom and dad, our grandfather Jones and grandmother's sister our  Aunt Louise.  You did retire after decades and decades and decades  of service all the while managing to have and care for nine children.    I always marveled at how you did it.

One thing I can say you were your own person and you loved dearly but quietly in your own way.  You've been through more suffering than any  person should ever be subject to.  In the last decade especially you soldiered on.   What an example to your family, your siblings and especially your husband and  children and grandchildren. Thanking God you had your husband Jim always working tirelessly to keep up with everything all the while your children did what they could even while raising their own children and maintaining their jobs.  That is how it should be.

You will always be in my thoughts and prayers my dear older sister.  Mike and I love you and miss you terribly as do all your family.  In deep sadness we say goodbye and hope and pray you are resting in the arms of Jesus in the mansion prepared for you in the heavenly kingdom. REST IN PEACE
