Elsie “Polly” Forrester Gay, 90, of Bartlett passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. She was a retired office manager for Drs. Bryant and Boring, a member of Bartlett Baptist Church and an avid football fan. Polly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earland B. “Pete” Gay, Sr; parents, Edwin A. and Mildred Lucy Forrester; siblings, Ed Forrester, Joy Forrester Light and Dovie Forrester Floyd. Polly is survived by her daughter, Becky Gay (Steve) Heinsz; sons, E.B. “Pete” (Charlotte) Gay, Jr., Michael (Martha Jean) Gay and Larry (Jan) Gay; brother, Dan O. (Betty) Forrester, Sr.; grandchildren, Emily Gay Stuver, Matthew Gay, Andrew Gay, Kimberly Gay Raines, Elizabeth Gay Nordtvedt and Darryl “Dee” Bradshaw, Jr.; and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, October 7, 2013 and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133. The family requests memorials be sent to Bartlett Baptist Church, 3465 Kirby Whitten Rd., Bartlett, Tennessee 38135.
