She was a member of First Assembly of Memphis. She sang in the choir, was a member of The Melody Three, and taught Sunday School for many years. She “played volleyball and softball”. She was also a loving mother, Yeye, and great grandmother.
She was born to the late Frank and Jessie Coscia on October 20th, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Fanning; her brothers, Frank and Charles Coscia; and her sister, Virginia McDaniel.
Estelle is survived by her children, Chuck Fanning (Debra), Sharon Rainey (Steve); grandchildren, Emily Permenter (Ethan), Chuck Fanning, Jr., Ben Fanning (Lindsey), Daniel Rainey (Meagan), James Rainey (Laura); 10 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Joanna Coscia and Phoebe Drach (Richard).
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, December 4th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 10:00am.
