Evelene Craddock Vowell

The daughter of Haughty and Lottie Bell Craddock, she was born in Hickman, KY on May 11, 1940. A graduate of West Hickman High School in 1957, she met Darrell Vowell and they married for 32 years, having 3 children. They moved to Memphis, TN in 1966.

Evelene was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and she loved her church family at Grace Assembly of God very much. She was a successful Realtor for 20 years winning numerous Million Dollar Sales Club Awards. She started her career at John R. Thompson Realtors and then moved over to Crye-Leike where success continued and she was voted as a Who's Who of American Women.

Evelene was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister.

She leaves behind a brother, Dale Craddock of Huntsville, Ala. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a daughter, Amy Vowell Spitler, two grandchildren, Jacob Spitler, Justin Hardin (Jennifer) and their two children Matthew and Camille, all of Jacksonville, FL. and two sons, Kerry and Dal Vowell.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday February 21 followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Brownsville Cemetery in Hickman, KY on Wednesday February 21.
