Evelyn Greene Woode, 96, of Hernando, MS, passed from this life Friday, June 10, 2016. She was born May 10, 1920 in Tupelo, MS to the late John Dillard and Lennie Jane Bradley Putt. She was a member of Elliston Baptist Church and a former MS State Chaplain for Disabled American Veterans Association. She is survived by 3 daughters; Sandra Austin, Mary Coley, Becky Cruzen, 3 sons; Jerry, Donny and Pat Greene, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Cecil Greene, daughter; Cecelia Henderson and a son; Tommy Greene. The family will receive friends beginning at 11am, Sunday, June 12, 2016 for visitation. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Bartlett. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
