

Frances Pauline Bennett, age 85, of Bartlett, TN was ushered peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on January 26, 1927 to the late Charlie and Jocie Jones in Cherry Valley, AR. Frances was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and loving grandmother who leaves behind a godly legacy full of miraculous faith and outspoken trust in the Lord. Until they reunite in heaven, she is survived by her husband, Rev. J.W. Bennett; daughter Bonnie (husband Jerald) Cain of Bartlett, TN; son Jerrel (wife Jackie) Bennett of Memphis, TN; brother Herman (wife Bonnie) Jones of Memphis, TN; grandchildren Patti, Jay, Tammi, Candace, Christy and Eric; great-grandchildren Brandon, Eli, Dylan, Dawson, Skylar, Ian, Kira, Jamie, Lexi, Ryan and Garrett; great-great-grandchildren Callen and Emma and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers J.P. and Earnest Jones and sisters Emma Lace, Virgie Taylor, Bertha Whitby, and Eunice Whitt. Frances was a passionate servant of God, ministering along side her husband as he served in the army, evangelized throughout the country, and pastored East Memphis Church of God in Memphis, TN. She loved singing in the choir, sewing and crocheting, playing cards, cooking, and showering her ever-growing family with generosity and persevering love. Anyone who knows her will miss her famous peanut brittle, cakes, pies and chocolate gravy and biscuits. The family would like to thank the Baptist Memorial Hospital ICU nurses for the care and compassion provided during Frances’ hospitalization.
