I am sorry to hear that Mr. Maxey passed away. I lived across the street from them for many years in Raleigh before they moved to Bartlett. I went to school with Kevin and Scott. I absolutely loved Mr. Maxey , he was a man who I know loved GOD.

The Maxey family are in my prayers

Kenny and Lucrecia Payne along with Bob and Paula Morris of our great neighborhood were saddened to hear of Maxey’s passing. We have known your family for years and always enjoyed spending time with you at neighborhood functions and talking with him on his neighborhood walks. He was one of a kind. Always concerned about everyone else. Always had a great, positive attitude about life. Always loved to talk about his precious Marie and his kids. Always enjoyed talking about his vacation mansion and the good times he had there. The neighborhood is a better place because of him and he will truly be missed. He was taken from us too soon, but God certainly can use his talents in Heaven. We will see him again, and in the meantime, his memory will live in us forever.

I have known Marie for 25 years. I was always enamored with the relationship that she and Freddie shared. Truly a one-of-a-kind pairing, a match made in Heaven. To know two people that are so in love is truly a blessing in life and sets an example for the rest of us to strive for in order to make our relationships more fulfilling.

Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
and death is only a horizon;
and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

Andy and I have enjoyed for many years the friendship and joy, love of knowing Freddie. Andy loved him dearly. They would always joke and kid each other and laugh and talk about wrestling. I enjoyed my visits with Freddie and Marie and have coffee and whatever dessert she would have. We totally enjoyed spending Christmas with them and their family. There is a huge hole in our hearts that can’t be filled for you Freddie and I know our neighborhood will never be the same without you!!!!

We love and miss you Freddie!!!!!
