Anthony was born November 22, 1958 in Memphis, TN to George H. and Lillie Busby. He was married to the love of his life, Deborah Jeanes Busby, for 45 years.
He worked as an Inventory Control Manager for First Choice Material Handling. He was a member of Grey Road Church of the Lord Jesus Christ for 54 years, and a current and founding member of HOPE Apostolic Church in Memphis, TN for 13 years.
Anthony was an avid golfer and took great pride in his lawn. He especially enjoyed cheering for the Steelers, going to truck and tractor pulls, and found joy in watching his “Sunshine” play softball. Above all, he deeply loved his family and friends, and held a strong and unwavering faith in God.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah “Dee”, his two daughters, Tonya (Michael) Shennan and Sara (Dustin) Martin, his granddaughter, Lily “Sunshine” Martin, and his extended family, Dennis and Pat Baker family, Ronnie and Patricia Jeanes family, and Laura Jeanes and family.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents George H. and Lillie Busby, and his sisters, Shirley and Dorothy Busby.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 from 9 – 11am, with the funeral service to follow at 11am, at Fountain Church, 7036 US-70, Memphis, TN 38133. Graveside service will follow at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
