George Samuel Powell, 71, of Memphis passed away February 10, 2011. George served in the United States National Guard and worked for Easley Contractors for 30 + years. He was a member of the Al Chymia Shriners and was the President of The Provost Guard. George is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Ed) Cook, Malisa Rachelle (Thomas Edward) Price, Courtney Georgette (Timothy Shane) Tucker; sons Gerald Scott (Jennifer) Powell, George Steven (Sandra) Powell; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and one on the way. The family will receive friends on Monday February 14 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral service with Masonic Honors and burial following will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday February 15 all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown PKY.
