Col. Gerald F. Gallagher, Ret. U.S.M.C.

He was born to the late John and Mary Gallagher on November 15, 1930 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. Along with his parents, his wife Ethel Gallagher preceded him in death. Gerald retired from the United States Marine Corps after over 32 years of service.

Gerald is survived by his daughters, Heather Jensen (Gordon), Lisse Wendt (Harold), Erin Ellis (David); grandchildren, Samanthia Reilly (Paulina), Shaun Letterman, Brian Ellis (Tara), Andrew Ellis (Zuri), Megan Gault (Corbin); great-grandchildren, Riley Scruggs, Luka Reilly; and Sarah Ellis is on the way.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Marin Corps. Toys for Tots in Gerald’s honor.

Family will receive friends from 9:30am to 10:30am on Friday, May 5 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 7801 Lowrance Rd, Memphis, TN. Mass will follow at 10:30am.

Gerald will be interred with his wife at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
