Ginger Ann Russell

Born on September 13, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Andrew and Doris Rogers. A woman of faith, Ginger lived her life as a devoted Christian, always extending kindness and compassion to others through her volunteer work and care for those in need.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending weekends searching for treasures at estate and yard sales, tending to her flowers, and gathering with her family. Known affectionately as “GiGi,” she was a proud and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones.

In December 2010, Ginger married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Andy M. Russell. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, happiness, and lasting memories.

She is survived by her husband, Andy; her stepmother, Anna Rogers; her step brother Jeffery Gardner(Sara);her children, Brandon Sherrill(Apryl), Tiffany Whitman(Gregory), and Brian Bennett(Elizabeth); and her beloved grandchildren, Noah, Paige Elise, Annabelle, Gwynn, Landon, Sam, Bentley and Wyatt.

Ginger’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Ginger will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
