

Granville Wayne Renfrow, 78, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. Born on July 10, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Opal Echols Renfrow and Granville Reed Renfrow, Wayne lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to those around him.
Wayne graduated from East High School and attended Memphis State University for two years before joining the United States Air Force, serving honorably for four years and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. After the Air Force, Wayne returned to Memphis, ultimately retiring from the Cummins-Allison Corp.
Wayne was an active member of Grace Evangelical Church in Germantown, TN, where he served on several committees and, most notably, spent many hours working with special needs adults, an endeavor that brought him great joy and fulfillment.
Wayne was a man of many passions. He loved traveling, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends. He had a great appreciation for a good meal with friends and family and had a life long love for Memphis Tigers basketball.
He leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Paula Diane Phillips Renfrow; his children, Michael Brandan Renfrow and Lauren Rhiannon Renfrow; his step-children, Ginger Neas (and husband Tyson) and Scott Nalley (and wife Jayme); his 12 grandchildren, who were a source of joy in his life; and his brothers Jerry Ray Renfrow (and wife Ellen) and William “Bill” Tate Renfrow. Wayne is now reunited with his son, Granville Blake Renfrow, who passed away in 2016, and the two of them rest together in everlasting peace.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Parkway at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, with a memorial service to follow immediately at 10:00 a.m.
