

Harry Cleveland Gwyn Jr., 74, of Collierville, TN, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 27, 1950, Harry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor, and unwavering support.
Harry married the love of his life, Peggy, in 1976, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He was a proud father and a cherished grandfather to ten adoring grandchildren, each of whom brought him endless joy.
For 36 years, Harry dedicated himself to his work at Dixico/Bryce/Cyber Graphics, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues with his hard work and integrity. Outside of work, he was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Memphis Tigers, Memphis Grizzlies, and his favorite NFL team, the Raiders. He also loved bowling, waterskiing, and traveling with his family, creating countless cherished memories along the way.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; his children Melanie Simmons (Chris), Margret West (David) and Matthew Gwyn (Sarah); his ten grandchildren Alex, Garrett, Breanne, Logan, Bradon, Brinley, Matthew, Brooklyn, Kathleen, and Rebecca; his mother, Elizabeth Gwyn; and his siblings, Jerry, Dianne, and Paul. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Cleveland Gwyn Sr., and his brother, Phil, who passed away last year.
Harry’s warmth, generosity, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
A celebration of Harry’s life will be held on February 6, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society in his honor.
