I know that you've had a tough battle, but just like a Daniel you fought a tough fight. I remember the day you were born like it was just a couple of years ago, you had the longest, prettiest eye lashes I have ever seen. I love you and know that you will be missed. Rest in Heaven's peace. Your cousin, Jeff.

Heather was as much a member of my family as blood relations. We met her in 7th grade, 1985. From that point on she was one of my girls. I loved her dearly. My dad called her out red headed step child, with great affection of coarse. All holidays and regular days we spent time together! I know she was a Christian and therefore know I will see her again! I’m so sorry to her birth family for their loss. God bless you with comfort. Sleep with the angels sweet girl, we love you.

Heather has been like a sister to me since we met in 9th grade. We've laughed together, cried together and got in trouble together (nothing too bad, ha ha). 

One summer we went to church camp and she rode a horse for the first time (and last). She decided they were pretty to look at but never wanted on one again. I wish I had pictures!!

Our favorite places to eat were either Burger King (we called "the place") or Shoney's. Could have been just the 2 of us or a group, but we always had fun.

We loved going to the mall to just hang out or just chill at home watching movies. It didn't matter what we did, we always enjoyed each other's company.

She was she sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet!! She always put others' needs before her own.

She spent part of Christmas break with me at my Grandmother's where she learned to play card games (a card laid is a card played). Now, she'll get to see my Grandmother again before me (give her a big hug for me). 

She loved sunflowers and had an artificial one on her kitchen table. My first son was probably 3 or so at the time and he noticed it didn't have water so he wanted to water it so it didn't die ... Heather laughed so hard she almost cried.

She was always a happy person but that happiness just exploded when Josh arrived!! I was Josh's first babysitter. She would call me every hour to check on him just like a nervous first time mom.  She always spoke proudly of Josh and everything he did!!

Our adult lives separated us some but we talked or texted at least 3 days per week ... every week!!

There will always be a hole in my heart now that she is gone.

The world has lost a wonderful person, but she is now pain free in God's presence.

Until we meet again, I love you Sis!!!
