Henry James Garbuzinski Jr.

Henry James Garbuzinski Jr, 85, died March 28, 2026, at his home in Oakland, Tennessee. Henry was born on May 7, 1940, in Memphis, TN to Henry James Garbuzinski and Mary Silkowski Garbuzinski. Henry loved and cherished his family more than anything and was a devoted husband and father. He was also an avid baseball fan, cheering on his favorite team – the St. Louis Cardinals, and enjoyed his trips to Hilton Head Island with his family.

Henry is survived by his wife, Sandra Garbuzinski; two daughters, Stephanie Dowdy (Tad) of Oakland, TN and Tricia Garbuzinski of Arlington, TN; one son, Hank Garbuzinski (Dara) of Memphis, TN; one brother, Joseph Garbuzinski of Memphis, TN; and 9 grandchildren, Michael Garbuzinski of North Attleboro, MA; John Garbuzinski(Kathryn) of Wilmington, MA; McKenzie and Grier Dowdy of Oakland, TN; Tiara and Brihonna Garbuzinski of Clarksville, TN; Kenzie, Lily and Trey Garbuzinski of Arlington, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Garbuzinski; his son, Terry Garbuzinski (Jennifer) and his daughter, Mary Beth Garbuzinski.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7th at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Somerville, TN with funeral mass beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Church Health Center.
