Herman Eugene Lewis, 79, of Memphis, passed away on Friday, May 2nd, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Jean Lewis. Mr. Lewis is survived by his five children Connie Chalmers, Jeffery E. Lewis, Sr., Rita Johnson, Helen Williams and Alvin Doston, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Lewis was a veteran. There will be a graveside service at 1pm on Saturday, May 10 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
