Herman Markle, 94, of Bartlett passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Jackson, TN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II where he received the bronze star, loved wood working and playing the guitar. Mr. Markle was a family man with a Big Heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Markle; daughter, Christine Kimery; and is survived by his sister, Melissa Taylor of Hickory Valley, TN; one grandchild, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives who loved him dearly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN.
