Howard O. Moore, 85, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 (Memphis TN). Howard was a Member of Leawood Baptist Church. He was also a member of Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame. Howard served in the Army and was a World War II veteran. Howard is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty R. Moore, and his parents; Homer and Effie Mae Moore. He leaves behind his daughter; Loretta Stancil (Memphis TN), his son; Ricky Moore (Collierville TN), Sister Gail Ramey (Bartlett TN), and four brothers; William Moore (Southaven MS), Bobby Moore (Southaven MS), Homer More Jr. (Southaven MS), and Roger Moore (Munford TN), along with three grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 5pm to 7pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN. 38133.
