Ida Beck Browning

Mrs. Browning was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood H. Browning, her parents, Willie Mae and Walter F. Beck Sr., her sister Luella Fair (Harry), brothers Walter Franklin Beck Jr., Bob Beck, and Bill Beck.

Mrs. Browning was born in Water Valley, Mississippi, in 1931 and attended high school at Water Valley High, where she played basketball. She was a lifelong fan of the sport, especially the University of Memphis Tigers. After graduation, she moved to Memphis to find work, where she lived with her aunt, Lyddie Brower Jordan. She loved flower gardening, reading and visits from her grand dog and grand kitties.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Heartsong Church, 800 N Houston Levee Road, Cordova, Tennessee, Saturday, June 27, at 3:00 pm, with burial in the Browning Cemetery in Taylor, Mississippi.
