Jack was born on October 27th in Orlando Florida to Jay Edwards and Nancy (Phillips) Bigham. He grew up around the country, starting in Orlando Florida until the age of 2, and later he grew up in Memphis until the age of 9, then moved to Massanutten Virginia until he was 18 years old. While in Massanutten, he was part of the first freshman class of the brand-new East Rockingham High School. He was very proud that he came up with the winning name of the ERHS Cannon (The Screaming Eagle!) and was accepted to the ERHS Cannon Crew. After graduation with the class of 2014, Jack moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he was so proud of his first jobs, with Pizza Hut and a local grocery store. It was a year later when he first started getting sick. After moving back to Virginia to receive advanced medical care, he was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Jack would fight through brain surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments emerging victorious and cancer free in 2016! While going through this, he invited Christina (Caldwell) Edwards in his and his dad’s life. The three of them moved back to the Memphis area where Jack worked to rebuild his strength and his life. Unfortunately, the effects of the cancer treatments that saved his life led to significant health issues from then on. In 2017, Jack was ready to go back to Idaho and pick back up his life with his Mom and her husband, Sean Bigham. He loved spending time in the beautiful nature of Idaho and Wyoming, where he could hike, drink from the streams, and just be closer to nature. In 2023, Jack came back to Memphis where he continued his medical treatments to improve his health. In May of 2026, Jack was able to travel to Clinton Tennessee to visit his best friend, Tommy Howell, as well as back to Virginia to visit his Grandma Gayle Winders and Clay Winders. Shortly after returning from this trip, Jack passed in his sleep on May 19th, 2026.
He will be remembered for his big personality, his endless supply of corny jokes, his personal fashion sense (again, see big personality) and his thoughtfulness of others. He was a fierce advocate for anyone that was being mistreated or bullied. He was a big-time Gamer and had friends around the world that he built lasting friendships with. He practiced kindness and interest in everyone he met, and no one was a stranger to Jack after the first word from his mouth. He loved his movies, his You Tube videos, his Anime and especially his bougee food! Jack was always true to his own self and no one ever forgot about Jack. He had that lasting impression on people. Our family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped Jack grow, heal, and just be himself. The brightest lights shine the shortest time, and this exemplifies Jacks beautiful spirt in every way.
