Memphis, TN, surrounded by his family. He had faced some serious medical issues in recent years,
but he endured his challenges with positivity and levity, relying on his faith in God.
Jack was born on March 1, 1949 in Corinth, MS to Laura Thompson and Jack Fullwood. He grew up
in Adamsville, TN and moved to Memphis in his early adulthood.
Jack is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann, and his two children Jack, Jr. and Lee Ann (Joseph)
Crossett. He will be missed greatly by his five grandsons: Raylan, Carson, James, John, and Jacob.
He is also survived by his sisters, Cheryl Ramsey of Birmingham, AL and Phyllis Howell of Monroe,
GA, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and musician. He spent many years playing the
bass guitar alongside his pianist mother at the Chickasaw Country Club, local wedding receptions
and parties, and in later years, at his church. Jack loved music and enjoyed entertaining others.
Alongside his career as a musician, Jack worked in retail at Goldsmiths, Steinmart, and Cenwood
Appliance.
Jack didn’t know a stranger and made all feel welcome with his humor and wit. Anyone who knew
Jack knew that he loved laughing and making others laugh. Jack will be greatly missed by everyone
who knew him.
