Jacob Wilson Brody

Jacob, called Jake by family and friends, was born on June 16, 1986 in Memphis TN to Audrey Baird and Jonathan Brody.

Jake was a dedicated and loyal employee. He worked in the IT department at AutoZone for 15 years and recently pursued a new career at Volvo Group.

Outside of work, Jake, also lovingly referred to as Jakey, loved to grill and was often the master chef at family summer pool parties and gatherings. He was an avid gamer, loved swimming as well as movies and loved even more to quote lines from his favorites. He also loved his dog, Lenin, who he raised from a puppy 15 years ago and took him on daily walks.

Jake was known for his kindness, quick wit and the ability to make everyone feel welcome and especially loved to make them laugh!

Jake is survived by his mother Audrey Baird, his father Jonathan Brody (Rita), his sister Julie Kunce (Drake) and his nephew Oliver. He was also dearly loved by his aunts Angela Powell (Joe), Amy Waltermyer, Elayna Moore (Kevin), Judy Monen of Chattanooga, TN and Jennifer Dornbrush(Bill) also of Chattanooga, TN, as well as his cousins Olivia Laborde, Kayla Willis (Jeremy), Michael Waltermyer, Jessica Al-Moghrabi, Austin Moore, Linsey Moore, Scott Monen, Michael Monen, Morgan Dornbush and Justin Dornbrush, along with a growing number of second cousins.

Jake will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee, 38133, United States, on November 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same venue on November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
