On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Jacob Wilson, friend to all, passed away at the age of 34. Born in Memphis, TN to Roger Wilson and Cheryl Haydu. He is survived by his parents, siblings Eric Wilson(Heather), Megan Vansickle(Josh), Kristen Haydu, Lindy Wilson(Michael), Patrick Garner(Adrienne), Cortney Wilson(Austin), Andrew Haydu, Matthew Haydu, John Wiley Haydu and his 5 nieces and 3 nephews.

Jacob had a passion for motorcycles from the moment he knew what one was. The only thing he loved more than racing and motorcycles was his family; especially his nieces and nephews. It’s impossible to put into words everything he is and what he means to everyone he met. In the last couple of weeks, he expressed that he is the most content he has ever been in his life. He also communicated that if he ever died on his motorcycle he died doing something he loved. We are comforted to know that he lived his life exactly the way he wanted.

His arrangements have been made to celebrate his life on Tuesday, September 14 2021, there is a visitation from 5-7 pm at Memphis funeral home. His funeral is Wednesday, September 15 2021 at 2pm at Bartlett United Methodist Church.

I met Jacob in 1999 when I moved to Memphis from Houston, TX to live with my uncle in 4th grade. Childhood memories were made that would last a lifetime and I mourn with you all. Love You bro and May you Rest in Peace.

I didn't get to spend a lot of time around Jacob, but when I did and from the stories I've heard from mutual friends he always had a smile on his face and was enjoyable to be around.

If someone's life is measured by the positive impact they have on those who they meet then Jacob set the standard. Much like footprints in the sand, you left an impression of happiness on those you walked by and we are all better people for having spent any amount of time with you.

Jacob’s glow made our hearts happy.
He was pleased when that happened.
He was loved.
