James "Jimmy" Robert Leake, age 57, of Eads, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Jimmy was born on April 19, 1963 in Chicago, IL. He spent his childhood in Ridgley, TN, where he played football and was a graduate of Lake County High School. Jimmy attended UT Martin where he also played football and graduated with a bachelors of science degree in Business Administration. In 1989, he began his career with International Paper in the IT department. Jimmy was a member and a deacon at Bellevue Baptist Church. He was an avid UT Vols, Grizzlies, and Chicago Cubs sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bobbie Sue Leake, his two brothers, Danny Leake, Dwight Leake, and his sister, Diane Bailey. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jeanette Leake, three children, Dane Leake and his wife Carrie, Dawson Leake and his wife Amber, Eva Leake, his grandson, Layton Leake, and one sister, Gwen Kaluzny.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm, on Monday April 5, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the Pollard Chapel at Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Rd, Cordova, TN 38016.
