James F. “Rick” Paratore, 53, of Eads, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was a member of the Order of DeMolay, correction Corporal with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, and at one time served as sergeant on the State of Tennessee Tact Squad. He was also a locksmith and coached summer league football. Mr. Paratore, the husband of Carla J. Paratore, also leaves three children, James Bradley (Allyson) Paratore of Cordova, Sarah E. Paratore and Trevor Alexander Paratore, both of Eads; three sisters, Donna Baker Gallagher of Vilonia, AR Elaine Dechert of San Antonio, TX and Dorothy Stitch of Bolivar, TN; two brothers, Charles Baker of Collierville, TN and John Paratore of Las Vegas; and one grandson, Hunter James Paratore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bettye Paratore. The family and friends will gather this evening, Sunday, August 18 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. from 5:30 – 8 p.m. A celebration of Rick’s life will be on Monday, August 19 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
