James Wesley Starnes Sr.

James Wesley Starnes Sr., age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 24, 2021 in his home. James was born March 7, 1959 to the late James Milton Starnes Jr. and Betty Starnes Axton in Memphis, TN. He loved his family, spending time with friends and the time he spent as a tattoo artist going by the name "Jessie James".

James is survived by his mother, Betty Starnes Axton (William); his siblings Janet Starnes Way (Bob), William Starnes (Dee), Julia Starnes Conner (Kendall), Susan Starnes and John Starnes; his sons Kevin Starnes, Joseph Starnes (Nicole), J.W. Starnes, Jr. (Michelle) and 4 grandchildren.

The funeral will be Tuesday, October 5th 2021 at 2:00pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens (3700 N. Germantown Road Bartlett, TN 38133) with a visitation held an hour prior.
