James Edward Styers, 71, of Bartlett, TN, passed away on February 19, 2015. Jim is at peace with God now, in the woods where he wanted to be. He dearly loved and cared for his mother, Mary Frances Styers, selflessly for many years. Jim returned home at a young age to help care for his siblings after the passing of his father, Hubert Styers. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Rose Styers. He leaves his siblings Danny Styers (Jeanette), Bill Styers (Anita), Larry Styers (Brenda), Cathy Freres (Fred), and Nancy Forget (Leo). He was a beloved “Uncle Bodie” to Catie Freres, Danielle Shield, Amy Forget, Julie Grady, Jennifer Hercules, Fran Forget, Brian Forget, Annie Freres, James Styers, Robert Carson, and Christina Morgan. The visitation will be Sunday, February 22 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity, 5955 Saint Elmo Rd, Memphis, TN 38135.
