Jean Douglass

She was born to the late John and Oletha Yancey on January 20, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee. Along with her parents, her husband Gene Douglass; her brother, John Jancey; and her sister, Virginia Kidd, preceded her in death.

Jean is survived by her sons, Rick Douglass (Melissa), Mick Douglass (Cheryl), Nick Douglass (Jacqueline), John Douglass (Patti); grandchildren, Donis Maxwell, Bryson Douglass, Johnny Douglass, Carlos Douglass, Helen Austin, Billy Douglass, Nicholas Douglass, Roman Douglass, Landon Douglass, Nolan Douglass, Megan Griffin; great-grandchildren, Amelia Pender, Junior Logans, Brantley Austin, Mason Sexton, and Mackenzie is on the way; and her brother, Summers Yancey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Life Choices of Memphis Pregnancy Resource Center, 5575 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134, 901-388-1172 in Jean’s honor.

Family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, July 29 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 10:00am.
