Jennie Lynn Harris Jones Barefoot

Jennie Lynn Harris Jones Barefoot, born on January 16, 1953, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the age of 63. She was retired from the Memphis VA Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Clarence Harris and Lessie May (Moore) Harris, sister, Lucy Lee Harris Stinnett, and granddaughter, Briana Justice Jones. She is survived by her husband, David L. Barefoot of Memphis; stepson, David Shane Barefoot of Toccoa, GA; son, Jason P. Jones (Mindy); and three grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, and Jasmin of Houston, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Louse Harris Turnbow (Homer) and a brother, L.C. Harris (Judy) all of Savannah, TN, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and friends all over the world and from Sweet Pea's Restaurant in Bartlett, TN. Mrs. Barefoot loved to sing country and gospel music; she had written and recorded four of her own gospel songs. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17 from two until four o'clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. Funeral services will be held the following day at ten o'clock at the same location. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Bartlett.
