Thoughts and prayers to Jesse’s family- such a sweet man, always a big smile and a free hug- miss seeing him at Harmony already.

Jesse and Joan were avid members of Harmony Church of Bartlett for years and will be missed beyond words. I would love to see him on Sunday morning, always with a smile on no matter what was going on. It wasn't until the Sunday before his death that I realized just what inspiration he had given me., but seeing him look so frail and sick and yet he was there to love his friends and family but also to show his love and thankfulness to Our Heavenly Father. That Sunday will forever stick in my heart to see the love he had for God even in his darkest hours when he could have been home in bed. Thank you Jesse for the lesson you shown me and other church family, and thank you to Jesse's family for sharing him. He will be missed.

Jesse was, I think, never a real "cat person," but Elmer had a way of growing on you. He and Jesse grew on each other and they were really good companions.

Flo & I are very sorry to have lost a very special man in Jesse Tyree. He was a good Christian person who loved his family and friends. It was an honor to call him my uncle. Thanks for all the memories from my childhood to being your nephew ... May God give his family the strength needed in this difficult time.
RIP Uncle JessO until I see you again.!!!🙏✝️🙏

March 10, 2007 -- The day Jesse and Joan were married. I don't think I ever saw her as happy as she was on that day. It was kind of like, after all the intervening years, she finally had the one she really wanted. I'm grateful Jesse was able to give her that.
