Jo Ann Jones

Jo Ann Jones, age 89, joyfully entered her heavenly home on May 12, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A lifelong and faithful Christian, she was a member of Ellendale Baptist Church. Jo Ann dedicated her life to being an encourager, prayer warrior, and a minister of Christ's love to all who knew her. She enjoyed music, cheering on the Tennessee Vols basketball team, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Lee Jones; her parents, Sanford and Novie Cunningham; and her great-grandson, Caleb McNinch. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Behles (Fred) and Beth Henry; and her son Scott Jones (Sharon). She leaves behind grandchildren Tyler McNinch, Micah McNinch (Lyndsey), Nick Jones (Morgan), Kyle Jones (Katelin), and Quade Stone (Rachal); as well as great-grandchildren Alyssa and Raegan McNinch, Skylar Stone-Daniel and Baker Stone, Garner and Lilliann Jones, and Bella and Sutton Jones. She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family and a host of dear friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Amelia Morales, her loving caregiver, and to Michelle Gerlach with Hospice, whose compassion and dedication brought comfort and peace to Jo Ann.

While we grieve her passing, we find peace in the assurance that we will one day be reunited in heaven.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. The service will follow at 10:00am with the burial at Wilson Cemetery in Trenton, TN.
