He was born on April 18, 1940 in Crockett Mills, TN to William Archibald and Mary Lou Harper Archibald.
Joe leaves behind a beloved wife of 44 years Shirley Archibald. He also leaves 2 daughters Denise Blanks of Huntingdon, TN, Carol Barthol of Cordova, TN, and 1 son Greg Archibald of Bartlett, TN. He also leaves a sister Barbara Ables of Braden,TN and a brother Roy Archibald of Madison, AL, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He retired from Sears in 90 and was a member of Decatur Trinity Church in Bartlett, TN. He served in the US Army from 1962 to 1964 and in the reserve from 1964-1968.
