Joe Brown Gideon, 71, of Bartlett, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Gideon and Mary F. Gideon-Wiles. He is survived by, his loving wife, Patricia Ross Gideon, children, Candi Gideon, and Billy Joe Gideon (Teresa), grandchild, Kiara Ayala, great-grandchild, Leilani Ayala, and a brother, Fred Gideon (Brenda). Mr. Gideon was a Paratrooper in 101st Airborne of the U.S. Army, member of the Millington Post VFW, Third Degree Mason, and an avid University Of Tennessee football fan. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 12 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. and a funeral on Thursday at 10am.
