John Robert Grimes, of Cordova, Tennessee passed away at his home on December 4th, 2020.

He was born to the late John and Kate Grimes on July 6th, 1946 in Dyer County, Tennessee. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Lee Grimes. John graduated from Humes High School in 1964. He loved his school and Elvis Presley. He also attended Southwest Community College. John always strived to help every client to meet their needs as an insurance agent.

John is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 53 years, Melanie Grimes and a host of family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, December 26th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
