John C. Lewis (Jackie), of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully into God’s Kingdom on Tuesday March 16, 2021, after a short illness. After graduating in 1955 from Treadwell High School, he served his county in the US Navy for four years and was stationed on the USS Randolph. He retired from Active Bolt and Screw where he served as the sales manager.
Jackie was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Lewis and his parents. He is survived by his son, Jack Lewis and his wife Linda Lucatelli-Lewis of Bartlett, TN, two daughters, Melisa “Lisa” Houston of Albuquerque, NM, Deborah Lewis of Memphis, TN, three grandchildren, Garrett Houston of Albuquerque, NM, Lyndsey Houston, and Anthony Lucatelli both of Memphis, TN. Jackie also leaves a brother, Walter Lewis and his wife Bess of Winston-Salem, NC, a niece Terri Lewis Oakley and her husband Phil of Lewisville, NC and his beloved canine sidekick Nola, of Bartlett, TN.
The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time at 2pm, on Monday, March 22, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
