His place of birth was Hagarville, AR on September 7, 1926 to Lee and Sarah Morris. He moved quickly through grade school and high school in both Arkansas and Salinas, California where the family lived for a time. After graduating high school, John served in the Army stationed in California during World War II. He then attended School of the Ozarks, Harding College, University of Arkansas, and then the University of Arkansas Pharmacy School. While in Little Rock he met the love of his life, Diana Ruth Lambert and they were married on April 11, 1954. Pharmacy opportunities took the family to Rogers, AR; Stuttgart, AR; and Russellville, AR. They settled in Searcy, AR. Later in life, work took the couple to Tyler and Fairfield, TX; Atoka, TN before retiring from work in Cordova, TN. John and Diana chose to share their lives with the wonderful community at Hearthside Senior Living in Bartlett, TN. They made many dear friends and neighbors along the way. John was a faithful follower of Christ for his whole life. While living in the Memphis area, John attended and so appreciated the Great Oaks Church of Christ.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Sarah Morris, and his beloved wife of 63 years, Diana. He is survived by son David (Karen) of Nashville, TN; Mark (Betty) of Alpharetta, GA; and Lea Ann (Michael) Lindsey of Bartlett, TN, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
