Born March 19, 1949, in Peekskill NY. Joe attended Peekskill High School and graduated class of 1967.
Joe was a Navy Seabee and a Vietnam veteran. His son Justin found his DD214 form years ago and listed his awards. He was an E5 CB and it listed combat action ribbon which is obtained from taking fire and returning fire. Justin stated that he only talked about it twice in his lifetime because he did not want to talk about his service to our Country.
As a young man he started out by heart and trade as a carpenter and developed into an entrepreneur and successfully becoming a renowned contractor within the construction community.
Joe was an avid classic car collector and a lover of all thing’s cars. He loved to cook, and he was pretty darn good at it. He loved hopping on his tractor and cutting grass. He cut grass even when it was not needed. He had a green thumb as well.
He is survived by his loving Aunt Theresa Turner of New York, who was like a second mother to him. His children, Shana McKeon Russell and her fiancé Lance Christian, Nadine Thompson, Justin McKeon, his wife Nicole, and Damian McKeon.
His grandchildren, Lauren, Christopher, Hannah, Haley, Garett, Evan, and Owen.
