Joseph Joy Scalzo

He was born to the late Tommaso and Victoria Scalzo on April 2nd, 1937 in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Franco G. Scalzo and his sister, Lidea Rita Calogera Scalzo. Joseph was always involved with his family. He was family man and loved all of his family dearly.

Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph Scalzo, Jr. (Kasey); his daughter, Andrea Hawkins (Andy); his grandchildren, Stephanie Sims, Maggie Croom, Haley Scalzo; his great-grandson, Cooper Croom; and his brother, Vinzenzo Scalzo (Anne).

Memorials may be made to the West Memphis Animal Shelter or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, January 23rd at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12th at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
